PRODUCTION ZONE: the estate owns two different and differently located vineyard parcels. One is Le Prata, with a southwestern exposure at an altitude of some 1640 feet (500 meters) above sea level while the other, La Torre, has a southeastern exposure and is situated at approximately 1375 feet (420 meters) of altitude. After their period of cask aging, the two wines are blended and then bottled to produce one single wine.

PLANT DENSITY: 5952 plants/hectar.

WEATHER CONDITIONS: Vintage characterized by 4 months of no rain. We haven’t had any water stresssince our vineyards are located at 507 meters and we have large temperature excursions during day and night.

Furthermore, the organic conditions of our vineyards make the plant more balanced. The plant supports theheat better, giving more complexity to our wines

 

FERMENTATION: absolutely natural, using only natural yeasts.

FERMENTATION TECHNIQUE: respecting the tradition of red vinification, in stainless steel tanks, for a period of 40 days. Than, aged for 12 months in stainless steel, without any passage in wood, it rests 4 months in bottle before be released.

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13,5%

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS: Classic red color of Sangiovese, transparent, deep. Theolfactory impact immediately tends to the mineral note, supported by light hints of cherry. On the palate it hasa compound tannin, never in contrast with the structure, with a final length that suggests how much Sangiovese, even in the less elaborate expressions, has in its nature, elegance, harmony and depth.
