PHILOSOPHY : always ambassadors of the Montalcino tradition, constantly looking for the elegance and purity of the Sangiovese through long, natural fermentations carried on exclusively by indigenous yeasts, without controlled temperatures  and prolonged ageing in 30/50 hl Slavonian oak barrels.
Unfiltered and naturally clarified.

WEATHER CONDITIONS : vintage 2016 started with a dry winter followed by a mostly mild spring. The summer was regular , with temperatures slightly above the seasonal average, but without peak of heat and with the right amount of rain at the right time. In September, we experienced lower temperatures that, together with the characteristic thermal excursion of our vineyards , have exalted the floral notes and the scents of the Sangiovese, making the 2016 one of the most representative vintages of the“Potazzine Style”.

TASTING NOTES

The nose immediately impressed for the complexity of the combination between flowers and red berries, in the mouth it opens in spicy and floral notes and tannins develop with softness and harmony , coming together in a never -ending finish.
A wine of extreme elegance and brightness, which will be able to last for the next decades.
