YIELD PER HECTARE: 55/60 quintal

PHILOSOPHY: always ambassadors of the Montalcino tradition, aimed at reflecting the elegance of the pure Sangiovese, through long spontaneous fermentations, that in 2018 lasted 42 days, carried out only by our native yeasts, without the control of temperature.
Then the wine is aged for 42 months in big 30/50 hl barrels in Slavonian oak. Not filtered.

WEATHER CONDITIONS: We remember 2020 as the year of Covid. The lockdown began, and spring sprung , an exemplary one, characterized by average temperatures and a good distribution of rainfall; we have manually and meticulously cared for all our vineyards that looked like gardens; The spring rainfall has subsequently allowed for the accumulation of important water reserves in the soil, which have helped the vines to get through a rather hot summer. In September the excellent day/night temperature range has favored a perfect phenolic ripeness of each clusters, in other words: a fantastic vintage!

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13,50%

TASTING NOTES : It appears in the glass with a wonderful red ruby color, luminous and bright as a great Sangiovese. The nose has precise and clean aromas with perfectly floral notes integrated. Tannins are sapid, almost salty which combined with the spiced typical acidity of the vintage, give as a result a wine that stands out for the elegant and traditional style.

AVAILABLE FORMATS: 0.75 l. – 1.5 l. – 3 l. – 5 l.
